Terms of service
Last updated: 14 October 2026
The rules for using DeepBot, its Bots, its apps and this website. Please read them: DeepBot acts on your behalf, and these terms say who is responsible for what.
The service
DeepBot ("we", "us") makes the DeepBot program, which runs on your computer, the app catalogue in it, and this website, deepbot.studio. By downloading, installing or using any of them you accept these terms and the licence that comes with DeepBot. If you use DeepBot for a company, you accept them for that company too, and confirm you may do so. If you do not accept them, do not use DeepBot.
Using DeepBot
You may install and use DeepBot on computers you own or control, for personal or business work. You may not resell it, rent it out, pass it off as your own, reverse engineer it except where the law allows, or remove notices of who made it.
Your Bots act for you
DeepBot does things on your computer and online when you or your routines ask: it opens websites, fills in and sends forms, runs commands, installs software, changes and deletes files, sends messages and emails, posts, signs in to accounts you give it, and keeps doing scheduled work while you are away. Everything a Bot does, it does on your instructions and with the access you gave it, as your tool.
- You are responsible for what you ask your Bots to do, for the access you give them, and for everything they do with it.
- You decide what a Bot may do without asking. DeepBot offers approvals (Settings, Approvals), plans to approve before live changes, and a way to take control at any time; using them is your choice.
- Check important work before you rely on it or let it go out, above all anything that sends, publishes, pays, deletes, or changes a live website, server or account.
- Keep backups of anything you cannot afford to lose.
AI models decide how your Bots behave
A Bot's understanding, decisions and actions come mostly from the AI model you choose and from what you tell it. We do not make, train or control those models, and their providers can change them at any time, changing how your Bots behave. AI models can misunderstand, invent facts, ignore instructions, act on something they read on a web page, in a document or in an email rather than on what you asked, and take a different action than you intended. DeepBot reduces these risks; it cannot remove them.
Nothing DeepBot or a Bot produces is professional advice, legal, medical, financial, tax, safety or otherwise, and nothing it says is a promise by us. Use your own judgement, and a qualified professional where it matters.
Risks you accept
By using DeepBot you understand and accept that, despite our care, using AI that acts on your computer and online can lead to, among other things:
- Lost or changed data: files, folders, databases, websites, emails or settings deleted, overwritten, corrupted or exposed.
- Changes to your computer: software installed or removed, settings changed, programs or the system slowed or made unstable.
- Actions in your name: messages, emails or posts sent or published, forms submitted, orders, bookings, purchases, payments, transfers or trades made, cancelled or repeated, sometimes to the wrong person or with wrong content.
- Your accounts: accounts limited, suspended or closed by services that do not allow automated use, or affected by actions taken in them.
- Costs: bills from AI providers and other services you connect, including from routines that run more often or longer than you expected.
- Security: passwords, keys or data you give DeepBot being used in a way you did not intend, including when a website, document or message tricks a model into it.
- Wrong results: inaccurate research, reports, analyses, translations, summaries, code, test results or figures, and decisions made on them.
- Other people's rights: content a Bot makes that resembles someone else's work, or personal data of other people that passes through your Bots.
- Interruptions: bugs, crashes, missed or failed scheduled work, and services that are unavailable. DeepBot is new software (version 0.x) and still changing.
You use DeepBot at your own risk, and these results are your responsibility, not ours.
Your other responsibilities
- Rules of other services. Follow the terms of the websites, platforms and AI providers your Bots use.
- Laws. Use DeepBot lawfully in your country and your field, including the laws on privacy and data protection, consumer protection, marketing and messaging, recording, employment, and export and sanctions.
- Other people's data. When your Bots handle personal data of others (customers, contacts, users of your sites), you decide what happens to it and you are responsible for it as its controller. That data stays with you; we never receive it.
- What you publish. Check that content a Bot makes for you does not infringe anyone's rights before you publish or sell it.
- The physical world. Anything a Bot designs or explains for the real world (3D printed parts, instructions, settings for devices) is not certified or tested by us. Check it before you build, print, use or rely on it.
Not for high-risk use
Do not use DeepBot where a mistake could cause death, injury or serious harm, or affect people's rights without a human checking: medical diagnosis or treatment, emergency services, controlling vehicles, machines or critical infrastructure, weapons, or decisions about people's employment, credit, housing, insurance, education or legal status.
AI models and other services
You choose the AI provider and use it with your own account and key; their terms, prices, privacy policy and usage rules apply, and you pay them directly. The same goes for every service you connect, and for models you run on your own computer, which come with their own licences. We are not responsible for them, for what they do with your data, for their availability or for their costs.
Your content
What you make with DeepBot is yours. It stays on your computer, and we claim no rights in it.
Apps
Apps in the catalogue are made by us or by other developers. We review apps before listing them, but a review is not a guarantee: an app made by someone else is that developer's responsibility, under that developer's terms if they have any. Before installing, DeepBot shows what an app may do; installing it is your choice. We may remove an app from the catalogue at any time.
Publishing apps
- You must have the right to publish everything in your app, and you keep your rights in it.
- You allow us to review, host, show and distribute your app, its name, pictures and listing, so people can find and install it.
- No malware, no hidden behaviour, nothing that collects people's data without saying so, nothing illegal. Your app does only what its listing and permissions say.
- You are responsible for your app and for claims about it. We may refuse, delist or remove an app, and close a developer account, at our discretion.
Acceptable use
Do not use DeepBot, its apps or this website to break the law, to harm, deceive, impersonate or harass people, to get into systems or accounts you are not allowed into, to send spam, to spread malware, to scrape or collect data where that is not allowed, or to infringe anyone's rights. Do not attack or overload this website or its catalogue.
Payments
DeepBot and its apps are free today. If paid plans come, their price and terms will be shown before you pay, and these terms will be updated.
Availability and changes
We improve DeepBot all the time, and features may change or go away, with or without notice. We may stop offering DeepBot, an app or this website.
Our property
DeepBot, its name, logo, design and this website belong to us. You get the right to use DeepBot under these terms and its licence, not ownership of it.
Third-party software
DeepBot includes open-source software and other third-party components (among them the runtime, the database, the local embedding model and its engine, and libraries and skills from other authors). Each is used under its own licence. Their notices and licence texts are installed with DeepBot, in the NOTICE file and the licenses folder next to the program. Those licences, not these terms, govern those components, and nothing here limits the rights they give you.
Ending use
You can stop at any time by uninstalling DeepBot. We may close an account, or remove access to the catalogue, for anyone who breaks these terms. The sections on risks, responsibilities, disclaimers, liability and law still apply after you stop.
Disclaimers
DeepBot, its Bots, its apps and this website are provided "as is" and "as available", with all faults and without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, non-infringement, security, and that they will work without interruption or errors or will not lose or change data. Some countries do not allow some of these exclusions; there, they apply as far as the law allows.
Limitation of liability
As far as the law allows, we are not liable for any damage or loss arising from or connected with DeepBot, its Bots, the AI models you use with it, its apps, connected services or this website, or from not being able to use them, including the risks described above, lost or damaged data, lost profits, revenue, business or reputation, costs of AI providers or other services, account suspensions, and indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, whatever the legal basis and even if we were told they were possible.
Where we are liable despite this, our total liability for all claims together is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Any claim must be brought within one year of the event it is about, and, where the law allows, individually and not as part of a group or class action.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as for intent or gross negligence, or rights you have under consumer protection law that cannot be limited.
Indemnity
If someone makes a claim against us because of how you used DeepBot, what your Bots did on your behalf, content you published, an app you published, or your breach of these terms or of the law, you will cover our reasonable costs and losses of dealing with it.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the country where DeepBot's operator is established. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live. If a part of these terms is not valid, the rest still applies, and the invalid part is replaced by the valid rule closest to it.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version, and important changes will also be in the release notes. Using DeepBot after a change means you accept it.
